Ingredients include all-purpose flour, yellow cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, 1 egg, salt, vegetable oil, buttermilk, honey, a package of hot dogs and wooden skewers. A separate amount of vegetable oil is also needed for frying.
To make the batter, combine all the ingredients together. The consistency should be thick. Then, put a large pot on the stove with vegetable oil, and turn to medium heat. Get the wooden skewers and insert one in each of the hotdogs. Guess what?
With batter in a long container or glass, you can dip in the skewered hotdogs one by one. Then, put them in the heated oil. When they turn golden brown, let the grease drain by putting the homemade corn dogs on paper towels. Voila! You can begin to sink your teeth into these wonderful treats.
