Let’s just be honest. Everyone has gas issues. Some more than others, that’s true, but none of us are immune to the “vapors” as ladies of the past so elegantly put it.

Excessive gas can be almost immediately relived by sipping peppermint tea. The added bonus is that sipping tea looks so refined, no one would ever suspect your real reason.
Garlic is another herb used for a variety of ailments. For reducing excessive gas try using an infusion of garlic mixed in warm milk. The added bonus, warm milk often has sedative effects and can be great way to relax in the evening.
This herb has been used for centuries for all types of stomach troubles. It helps with indigestion, loose stool, nausea, and excessive gas. Gas is often just a normal result of our digestive processes. If you have had a large meal, well, you can guess the possible results. Sassafras can be used in a delightful after dinner tea. Simply bring 8 ounces of water to a boil then add equal parts of Fennel seed, lemongrass, sliced ginger root and a bit of cardamom.
Watch What Your Eat
Another helpful tip is to be careful of what you eat. Certain foods such as broccoli, cauliflower, beans, lentils and oats are big offenders. If you are going to be in a situation in which you really do not want to deal with excessive gas, avoiding these types of foods could make it easier for you. If gas continues to be such a problem that it becomes invasive into your life or if gas is becoming increasingly painful there may be a more serious problem in your tummy. It is always a good idea to consult your doctor. Even though it is an embarrassing condition, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
